Botox has been safely used for many years. It treats both cosmetic and medical issues. These include chronic migraines, excessive sweating, and urinary incontinence.
In aesthetic practice, Botox is primarily used to soften frown lines between the eyebrows, forehead lines, and crow’s feet, helping restore a rested, rejuvenated appearance.
How Anti-Wrinkle injections Work
During treatment, Dr Effie uses ultra-fine needles to deliver small amounts of botulinum toxin precisely into the injection site.
The medication blocks the nerve signals responsible for muscle contraction, relaxing the overactive muscles that cause fine lines and wrinkles to form.

Will I look frozen or unnatural?
That is not the result I aim for.
My approach is conservative and tailored to your facial movement. The goal is to soften lines while allowing you to keep natural expression.
There is no standard dose that suits every face. I plan treatment around your anatomy, muscle strength and the result you want.

What aftercare should I follow?
Do’s
- Drink lots of water.
- Keep your head elevated 4 hours after treatment.
- Avoid hot drinks straight after for a couple of hours; this can dilate the blood vessels and result in more bruising
Don’ts
- Drink alcohol for 24 hours; it can increase swelling and bruising.
- Exercise for 24 hours.
- Rub or massage the area.
