What is a PRX-T33 Peel?
The PRX-T33® peel stimulates skin renewal and does not require injections.
PRX T33 contains 33% TCA, Hydrogen Peroxide and Kohic Acid which offers all the benefits of a high percentage TCA peel without the associated side effects (discomfort and peeling). You’ll also not experience the same downtime as with other peels due to the hydrogen component.
This peel penetrates deep into the skin to give immediate hydration, firmness and tightening without removing the top layer of skin.

Before performing the procedure, Dr Effie will consult you on the suitability of the procedure.
Your skin is then prepared with a mild cleanser, rinsed and dried thoroughly. By a manual deep facial massage, 2 ml of the facial peeling solution is applied per area. This is repeated 2-5 times, on each area of the face / neck / décolletage. The product is then massaged firmly until it is absorbed, and a palpable or visible elasticity is observed.
A course of these peels is incredibly effective. PRX-T33 promotes stimulation of fibroblasts and growth factors without causing inflammation or damaging the skin. The treatment can be performed at any time of year, unlike peeling, because it is not photosensitising, and it is suitable for all skin types.
This treatment is suitable for men and women who would like to tighten loose skin, lighten pigmentation or improve the appearance and texture of acne scars and stretch marks. It is suitable for use as a facial treatment or on the body, and is particularly popular as a treatment for the chest or neck.

When will I see results and how long does it last?
Some results of the PRX-T33 are immediate such as a tightening, brightening effect, these will improve further over the coming weeks.
We recommend up to 5 treatments between 1-3 week intervals or until you see the maximum level of tightening, you can then schedule maintenance treatments between 6-12 months depending on your age and skin concerns.

What will I look like after the PRX-T33 peel treatment?
You will be able to continue with your routine after the treatment, you may experience transient redness, swelling, tenderness  although this will subside within a couple of hours. Due to the nature of the peel you can resume activities immediately. You may experience some light flaking of the skin (which simply means your skin needed to shed some dead skin cells), but this can be addressed with moisturiser. It is essential to use the correct aftercare products as prescribed by the practitioner to aid any the effects of the procedure. Although the peel is non-photosensitising, it is recommended to use a high SPF sun protectant during the healing process.

Contraindication include: Pregnancy and lactation; allergy to any of the treatment components; damaged skin (i.e. small cuts, breaks, eczema), fresh wounds; skin infections and highly sensitive skin.
What is the cost of PRX-T33 peel?

Can PRX-T33 be used with other treatments?
Absolutely! The peel is is effective as a single treatment but can also be used in combination with other aesthetic medicine treatments to enhance the effects such as dermal fillers, anti wrinkle injections. *Please note the results may vary from person to person.
Are there any side effects of PRX-T33 peel?
Patients might experience slightly redness for a short period following the PRX-T33, or around areas of thinner skin such as the eyes, but this generally subsides within a few hours.
